Carolien Teunisse – Field_in_Flux
‘Field_in_Flux’ merges the physical and the digital into an organic and ever-changing surface, using the power of the wind to enable change. It reveals invisible fields in space by means of computer vision, creating fluid morphing shapes in places where the physical cloth intersects with the virtual color fields. Natural physics and algorithms join forces to create unpredictable and hypnotizing movements where chance is the only constant.
Utrecht-based visual media artist, researcher and curator Carolien Teunisse experiments in her work with projections, robotics, interactive art technologies, video and computer animations. She is a member of DEFRAME, a collective of visual artists whose focus lies on audiovisual installations and live visual performances. She has contributed many years to TodaysArt with a wide range of works: from projection mapping on the facade of De Volharding and on Sol le Wit’s murals to the coding of complex interfaces and contributing to artist panels.
