Woulg & Push 1 stop – Interpolate
Presented by We Are Europe
Greg Debicki (Woulg) en Cadie Desbiens (Push 1 stop) from Montréal join forces in ‘Interpolate’, a 360-degree immersive performance created in collaboration with the Society for Arts and Technology in Montréal. The artists use live coding and generative processes to create a perfect interplay between audio and visuals.
Image and sound take turns in controlling each other, using minimal 3D-geometries and particle systems to map out the melodies. Missing data between sound and image is generated (interpolated) by using the surrounding known values.
This performance will take place in the Fulldome, an immersive 360-degree projection environment by The Society for Arts and Technology (SAT) of Montréal. With a diameter of about 15 meters, the dome structure hosts five state-of-the-art immersive live performances developed in SAT’s research program for digital arts.
