Eric Geboers

By using locally available resources we can grow plants and create architecture without producing waste. The Salt Project is a biomimetic attempt to create architecture using seawater in the desert.

Eric Geboers

Eric Geboers, born in the Netherlands, is educated as an architect and studied at universities in Melbourne, Australia and Valencia, Spain before obtaining his masters degree in Architecture at the Technical University in Delft, The Netherlands. Before graduating he worked in Rotterdam, The Netherlands and in Xiamen, China on large scale urban projects. The Salt Project started as his thesis at the TU Delft and has since been nominated for the Archiprix and won the Challenge de Stad competition and Singapore Science of Future Cities competition. It has also been featured in numerous Dutch media, both online and in print. He currently works full time at the Salt Project and is driven by his dreams of making a meaningful impact in global sustainable development and improving ecosystems.
