David A. Garcia

Architect David A. Garcia is founder of MAP Architects and is a graduate from The Bartlett School of Architecture. He has worked at Foster and Partners, London, and has been an Associate Partner at Henning Larsen Architects in Copenhagen, where he worked for nine years. He is the editor and publisher of the international publication Manual of Architectural Possibilities, now in it’s sixth issue and founder of The Institute of Architecture and the Extreme Environment.

He has recently been appointed Head of the Institute for Architecture and Technology, Royal Danish Arts Academy, Copenhagen, where he also directs the two year master course Architecture and Extreme Environments. He was awarded a Teaching Fellowship at The Bartlett School of Architecture, Unit 3, where he is a degree unit director from 2010 to 2014.
