The Twit2Sms badge is an instant contact form which gives visitors of your site, blog, myspace, facebook, hyves etc. the opportunity to send you an SMS directly for free*
(* depends on your mobile plan, however here in NL receiving sms'ses is free).

The concept is based upon this post by OlivierDuizend on Twitter. TWIT 2 SMS uses the Twitter.com Direct Message service. You can only use it if you have a free Twitter account and have switched on the 'direct message notifications to phone' service. This project is beta and I cannot held liable for whatsoever damage done.

4 steps to get your own badge:

1. get a free twitter account
Twitter is a global community of friends and strangers answering one simple question: What are you doing? Answer on your phone, IM, or on the web! Find your friends on twitter by syncing with gmail and join the revolution!
Complete the 1-minute- signup at https://twitter.com/signup now.

2. activate your phone on twitter
In order to be able to receive direct sms, twitter needs to know your number! duhh.
Surf to http://twitter.com/devices and be sure to either "switch on" notifications or set it to "Direct Message" in the drop-down menu.

3. follow the twit2sms account on twitter
Twit2SMS can only send you sms'ses (or direct messages) if you are sort of friend with us at Twitter.com. Become friends by hitting the "follow"-button at our Twitter homepage.

4. generate your badge
