Paul Krimpenfort

Paul Krimpenfort is a staff scientist at the Netherlands Cancer Institute in the Molecular Genetics division.

Since the early eighties he has been involved in the development of transgenic technology both in the Netherlands and internationally. This work has led to the generation of transgenic cattle (‘Herman’ the bull), but more importantly it has led to the application of the genetic modification of mice as a routine to set up animal models for various scientific questions in health and disease.
