Esther Keymolen is assistant professor and educational director at eLaw, the Centre for Law and Digital Technologies at Leiden University. Esther has research interests in the philosophy and ethics of technology, online trust, privacy, and digital governance. In her recent book “Trust On The Line”, she examines the impact of new technologies on the development of trust in interpersonal interactions online. On a regular basis she presents her work at academic conferences and advises private and public stakeholders. Dr. Keymolen teaches courses in Philosophy of Technology, Internet Privacy, and Digital Government. Previously, she worked at the Scientific Council for Government Policy (WRR). As a scientific staff member, she co-
authored the book iGovernment and conducted research in the domain of digital youth care. She also holds a bachelor in music.
