Electric Indigo + Thomas Wagensommerer – Morpheme

''To let noise into the system is a kind of art.''

Electric Indigo + Thomas Wagensommerer – Morpheme

DJ, composer and musician Susanne Kirchmayr chose the moniker Electric Indigo to represent an intelligent and distinguished interpretation of techno and electronic music. Her DJ sets are characterized by a wide variety with a clarity of vision and a depth that comes from a deep understanding of the music and the art of DJing. As a composer and musician, she creates music for concert spaces, clubs, sound installations and occasionally for stage plays and short films. In her compositions and live performances, she emphasizes the spatial temporal placement of subtly elaborated sounds and structures, often generated from speech recordings.

Thomas Wagensommerer is a media artist, theoretician and musician working on visual and audio experimentation. He is also the lecturer for Experimental Media at the University of Applied Sciences St. Poelten, does light design for performances, and is a member of the What if? arts project about identity in art, funded by the Austrian Science Fund. Wagensommerer uses delicate generative systems to design visuals that coincide with his experimental granular sounds.
