Frahm improvises inspired by the space and the audience, he creates new compositions loosely based around his familiar melodies. Frahm’s live performances showcase a unique combination of piano motifs on the upright, grand piano and Rhodes with heavy synthesiser sounds. Frahm has a refreshing approach to an age-old instrument, also leading to collaborations and production work for other musicians such as Ólafur Arnalds, Peter Broderick and most recently Sarah Neufeld (Arcade Fire).
