Jong & Lenig and Straatexpo present a graffiti project at TodaysArt to address the issue of decreasing places where the art and culture of graffiti can be practiced in The Hague.
The project criticizes current local policies towards cultural scenes and nightlife. Local politics has a major impact on the lives of young people and the quality of life in the city. That is why Jong & Lenig, the youth movement within the local political party Haagse Stadspartij, helps young people to influence their political and cultural environment and ensure that their voice is heard in local politics. They organize and support publicity campaigns for various subjects such as ‘Het Stille Strand’, ‘Spuiforum Krankjorum’ and organize events, such as ‘A Smoke in the Park’, that cover topics that matter to the local youth.
