TodaysArt teams up with Smoke Machine and Field Records to present an exquisite and exclusive line-up of like minded electronic artists in the realm of techno, ambient, experimental, and related sounds.
The program includes various Dutch premiere and features Objekt, Dj Nobu, Neel, Varg, Artefakt and diskonnected.
Smoke Machine x Field Records
The close partnership between Smoke Machine and Field Records dates back to 2012, when Smoke Machine organized a Field Records label showcase in Taipei, Taiwan. Two years later, these passionate music platforms team up with TodaysArt to present an exquisite and exclusive line-up of like minded electronic artists in the realm of techno, ambient, experimental, and related sounds from different parts of the world, including several Dutch premieres.
Smoke Machine
Since 2009, Smoke Machine has developed into a strong platform driven by current Taipei subcultures and its art and techno scene. It keeps itself from falling into the platitude, the cliche, and the ordinary; it has created an international platform for Taiwan to communicate and share unique sounds. It is known for its high quality online podcast series and for bringing some of the most cutting edge international electronic music artists to Asia.
Field Records
Field Records keeps up the Dutch tradition of publishing deep, Detroit-inspired electronic music with high-class contributions from various artists. Built on minimalism and modesty, the boutique label has expanded into a consortium for quality since first emerging in 2008. Artists such as Artefakt, Delta Funktionen, DJ Sprinkles, Steffi, Mark Du Mosch and many other assured talents all previously appeared on the label with sounds that range from deep and classic house to more rough edged and raw techno. More recently, the platform is expanding into foreign territories. The ‘Collection’ compilation is a first hallmark, while new material is being prepared for 2015.
