Presented in co-operation with ANNA

Wave Field Synthesis (WFS) is a technique for reproducing sound. WFS started at the TU Delft in the 80s, and is based on a 17th-century theoretical principle from the Dutch mathematician and physicist Christiaan Huygens. The WFS system by Game of Life consists of 192 speakers in a square of 10 by 10 meters, allowing the sound to move through space in a completely different way compared to traditional stereo sound. During TodaysArt, there will be lectures, workshops, demonstrations and concerts with the WFS system.
