One of the most important new names in techno in recent years has been Ancient Methods, composed of two Berlin techno artists, Baeks and Trias. They have quickly developed a reputation as at the cutting edge of contemporary techno due to their 5 beautifully marbled EPs adorned with medieval pictures, as well as their collaborations with techno legends Regis and Adam X. Drawing on a range of influences – the harder schools of techno, IDM, industrial, and experimental – Ancient Methods have developed their own distinctive brand of techno, best described as ‘pitch black techno war funk’. In a club setting, their live show is known for its power and intensity. This is techno made for warrior gods.
