Berlin (DE)[cooking, music]
@ GREENHOUSE (MISS HECKER) ......... FRIDAY, SATURDAY - CONTINUOUShttp://www.misshecker.org http://www.flickr.com/photos/misshecker/
Miss Hecker is a Berlin underground gallery/bar/performance space. A 100-year old Mitte apartment building, a tiny, unrenovated third floor apartment behind an unremarkable backyard. It's private, but open. It's home-like, but strangers pass through to drink, talk and hear music. Secret agents opened Miss Hecker in 2004 as a meeting place for friends, and it's survived as creative free-space that resembles an early 20th C 'salon', a living space transformed into a project about feeling, atmosphere and 'place' in both an urban and private sense. Transplanted to The Hague, Miss Hecker will set up a little slice of Berlin in one of the temporary greenhouses to welcome visitors into her charming, heterotopic world. Featured artists: Lily Wittenburg (cooking & drawing) and Danny Gretscher (visual art), and trumpet and live painting band Ritsch & Zast (Thomas Bratzke & Ritsche Koch) + special guest Philip Wiegard.
