Mr. Oizo & SebastiAn

Most of us will probably remember the little yellow guy called “Flat Eric”. He was the main character in the Levi’s commercials in 1999, dishing out minimalist dance moves to minimal house and quickly rising to the top of Europe’s music charts with the song “Flat Beat”. The mastermind behind it all was Quentin Dupieux, aka Mr. Oizo, a Frenchmen gifted in the field of film and music.

During the past few years, Mr. Oizo has been busy with remixes of famous artists such as Air and Scissor Sisters, releasing two albums and producing Uffie’s and Feadz’
album. French musician SebastiAn follows in the footsteps of fellow French melodic minimalists Gel, Encre and Sylvain Chauveau with his glorious multi faceted drone based music. After being discovered by Ed Banger, he soon became a rising star not only in France but also internationally, touring with major names such as Daft Punk and Kavinsky.

At the TodaysArt Festival, Mr. Oizo and SebastiAn will officially close the French summer, in which the European festivals were filled with the French electrohouse acts from Ed Banger Records.
