| The Orb | ||||||||

Live-set Thomas Fehlmann and Alex Paterson met in London in 1989. Their shared appreciation for German electronic music and the work of Brian Eno led to the formation of The Orb. The Orb is a collaboration that aims to explore the boundaries of electronic music, which eventually grew into a legendary live act and resulted in a number one listing for their album U.F.ORB, in 1992. After the initial down-tempo, ambient vibe, The Orb moved to minimalist techno music with releases through the German label KOMPAKT. For the first time after their fantastic closing performance at Pinkop 12 years ago, The Orb now returns to the Netherlands to perform at the TodaysArt Festival.
