The Cremaster Cycle The Cremaster Cycle (1994 – 2002) is one of the most striking film productions to have been released during the past ten years. Matthew Barney’s five-part film cycle was originally meant to be a series of filmed performances, but over the years it grew into a Gesamtkunstwerk. Besides yielding five motion pictures, the project also gave birth to sculptures, photographs, performances, books and installations. Filmhuis will show a selection from the Cremaster films at the TodaysArt Festival.
