Wasted 3 Adapteur, an attractive installation built by Telematique U-matic and LFT, is comprised of fluorescent tube lighting that can be adjusted by “boogy-woogy” software, developed specifically for this purpose. The software and technical set-up can also be directly linked to audio signals to create live accompaniment for musical performances. Telematique is Sven Gareis, once one half of Berlin’s well known visual collective Monitor Automatique and a gifted programmer, now on his solo track. His elegant images masterfully combine abstract motion patterns and figurative footage. Besides visuals for music performances he creates installations and participates in media art projects.
