surprising highlights at todaysart festival 2006
Many visitors for diverse program at The TodaysArt Festival

The TodaysArt Festival, which took place last weekend on Friday the 22nd and Saturday 23rd of September on more than 15 locations in the city centre of The Hague, has exceeded the expectations by attracting more than 20000 visitors. The night program on both days, with performances of ambient-techno duo The Orb, United Visual Artists from London and a 5 hours lasting show of Detroit's own Underground Resistance, has been sold out on both locations. During 2 days visitors enjoyed performances of more than 200 artists from disciplines such as music, video art, theatre, contemporary dance and multimedia. Besides the acts that are known by a broader audience, the more experimental and unique projects in the program (such as the mind blowing project of students of the Royal Academy for Art and the Royal Conservatory [Structet], the refreshing cooperation between Japanese artists and the Dutch art collective Antistrot, the clash of history and computers in the audio project of Remco de Jong [Midi-Street instruments] and the confronting choreography of Dylan Newcomb, were the spectacular highlights for the adventurous visitors.

TodaysArt is the annual international multidisciplinary festival in The Hague for contemporary creativity. The program exists out of unique multidisciplinary and accessible projects of undiscovered talents, influential pioneers and famous international acts. The TodaysArt Festival takes place in 2007 on the 21st and the 22nd of September.
